Partnership Working and Local Government Schemes

THIS YEAR'S COMPETITION HAD NOW CLOSED.

Sponsored by Abellio

Most cycle-rail activities would not be possible/effective if left to be delivered by one organisation alone. This award recognises the importance of partnership working to produce many of the facilities and activities that lead to cycle-rail integration. Partnership working is increasingly relevant to Local Government/Local Authority schemes in the context of devolution.

The partnership could be between any mix of the following: Local Authority, Train Operating Company, RDG, Network Rail, RSSB, TRANSEC, Office of Rail Regulation, DfT, or other stakeholders and/or partner organisations.

The judges will look for submissions that demonstrate:

  • Partnerships which have developed specific plans to encourage the use of cycles and who have made a contribution to improving integration of cycle and rail
  • How the partnership has led to a level of cooperation or output that has produced facilities, service or change in activity that would not have happened had it been left to one organisation to deliver on their own

This category is open for nominations from Friday 3rd June to Friday 9th September 2016 at 17:00.

All entries will be treated in the strictest confidence. The judges’ decision is final and no discussion or correspondence relating to any of their decisions will be entered into.
