What we do
We are continually looking at how to improve services, journeys and value on the nation’s railway.
We plan to deliver a better network for passengers, freight customers and the country by working even more closely together and with UK, Welsh and Scottish Governments, local authorities and other stakeholders to meet the challenges we face.
To support this objective, we are delivering a dynamic programme designed to support our members to:
- Improve today's railway - improving punctuality, reliability and value for money;
- Transform customer experience - modernising ticketing and improving door-to-door journeys;
- Reform the rail industry - improving industry structures to enable excellence;
- Develop ambitious plans for tomorrow’s railway - better planning for the railway’s future.
The RDG also delivers important customer services, including national tickets, passenger information and reservation services.
