This category is open to Train Operating Companies, station operators, cycle groups, community groups and anyone else involved in providing services that integrate cycling and rail travel.
It recognises those who have done the most to reduce bicycle-related crime figures, either through initiative or infrastructure.
The judges will look for security improvements which contribute to a reduction in bicycle-related crimes, increased uptake of cycle parking facilities and a better customer experience.
Nominations and entries should demonstrate:
- The original need for the security initiative or infrastructure implementation
- What the initiative or infrastructure achieved, i.e. good crime reduction figures
- Partnership working with the British Transport Police and others
- Evidence of user satisfaction and customer focus
This category is open for nominations between Monday 24th July to Monday 11th September 2017 at 17:00.
All entries will be treated in the strictest confidence. The judges’ decision is final and no discussion or correspondence relating to any of their decisions will be entered into.
