  • RST Season Smartcards are currently only available to employees.

  • You can use the smartcard to hold either a staff discounted (priv rate) Flexi-Season or a period Season ticket for journeys on National Rail services.

  • We strongly recommend you download the National Rail Smartcard Manager app and follow the instructions on screen to load the RST approved season ticket purchased through RST Online onto your smartcard which can be done before the start date of the season ticket.

  • Alternatively, you can collect the season ticket by tapping the smartcard on a station gate or validator.

  • You will not be able to activate the season ticket until the start date of the season ticket.

  • Leisure tickets cannot be loaded onto the smartcard.

  • This smartcard can only be used after you have applied for your Flexi Season Ticket/period Season Ticket, which must be applied for in the usual manner with the relevant form https://www.raildeliverygroup.com/rst/forms.html giving at least 7 days before the start of your ticket.

  • Once you have received your confirmation from us that your RST approved season ticket has been approved, you can then log into your RST Online account to purchase it.
