Global Fares

Global Fares on cross border and premium long distance and high-speed services include the FIP discounted ticket price, tunnel charges, seat reservation fee or sleeper/couchette charge and in some cases food and drink. They may be quota-controlled and subject to availability.

Unless otherwise specified the 2^nd class FIP card can only be used to purchase discounted tickets for travel in 2^nd class.

This table lists services on which Global Fares apply. Not all these FIP facilities may be enabled for sale in retail systems used by Travel Agents. Some may only be available from the station ticket offices of the carrier.

DB / SNCF en ccopération TGV INOUI/ICE France - Allemagne	Several routes Excludes Paris to Freiburg & Breisgau, and Frankfurt, Stuttgart to Bordeaux which are operated by SNCF.	Passengers must hold a FIP card. FIP cardholders must purchase a ticket plus seat reservation (€20 1^st class, €10 2^nd class). Upgrades to 1^st class for holders of 2^nd class FIP cards are not permitted. Cancellation: Fully exchangeable/refundable before departure, not thereafter.
NightJet ÖBB	Various overnight services	FIP Card: Global fare. Cancellation: Up to 15 days prior to departure = free. 14-1 days prior to departure = 50% (min €15 per ticket). Day of departure = no refund. FIP coupons: coupons must cover entire route (e.g. Germany to Italy: DB, ÖBB and FS) Cancellation: Up to 15 days prior to departure = free. 14-1 days prior to departure = 50%. Day of departure = no refund.
Frecciarossa Frecciargento Frecciabianca IC ICN/Espresso (for seats, couchettes, sleepers) TRENITALIA	Domestic routes in Italy	FIP fare discount is given from the flexible fare up to 50% depending on the service. Reservation supplement when using a FS coupon can vary based on travel route and the type of train; Reservation supplement with coupon is both exchangeable and 75% refundable. The tickets whose price is equal or less than €10 are not refunded. On ICN 2^nd class holders can use staff facilities up to Berth 4/triple sleeper only, no upgrade allowed.
Euronight 40476/40457	Budapest – Berlin	FIP fare, FIP Coupon fare and Partial coupon fare available. 100% refundable up to 1 day before departure of the train. From the day of departure no refund possible. Partial cancellation of a ticket with several passengers is not possible. Breakfast included when booking Berth 4 or higher.

Partial cancellation of a ticket with several passengers is not possible. Breakfast included in sleeper car only.
Euronight 406/407	Munich – Warsaw via Wien/Praha	FIP fare, FIP Coupon fare and Partial coupon fare available. 100% refundable up to 15 days before departure; 50% refundable (with a minimum of 15 eur) from 14 days up to 1 day before departure; Not refundable from the day of departure. Partial cancellation of a ticket with several passengers is not possible.
TGV services including joint with SBB and SNCB, IC & ICN	Domestic	Cancellation: Fully exchangeable and refundable up to departure – non-exchangeable and non-refundable thereafter, including FIP coupon reservations; On ICN 1^st class coupon/FIP is required for booking Couchette 4 option.
EC Austria-Italy	Wien-Venezia	100% refundable until 1 day before departure. From the day of departure no refund possible.

TGV international	All routes	Coupons not valid for international TGV routes; however, the coupon can be used on an international connection if the holder plans travelling only within the domestic network.
Renfe	Domestic	One tariff for both FIP & coupon holders; Coupon holders get free travel on Cercanias services where facilities are valid and regional services without seat assignment; Not exchangeable, only 85% refundable before travel.
Renfe	Madrid – Marseille, Barcelona – Lyon	Currently bookable at the station in Spain only using staff facilities.
EC Switzerland-Italy	Various Swiss cities to various Italian cities Frankfurt – Switzerland – Milan	When booking full route or any route between Italy and Switzerland, the fare is global; A passenger with both SBB and FS coupons in that case needs two reservations: one reservation for Swiss leg and another reservation supplement for Italian leg; This is also valid for Eurocity service Frankfurt-Milan, if booked up to Switzerland is not global fare, up to Italy it is though; The ticket is exchangeable and 75% refundable before travel.
