Hellenic Train FIP facilities

For public fares, children up to 4 years old travel free. Children up to 12 years old are eligible for a 50% reduction on the adult fare. Persons aged 12 and older pay the adult fare.

The table supplied by Hellenic Train defines the boundaries of FIP availability across the Hellenic Train railway network. For the meanings of (Gr) or (fr) suffixes, please see the section - Transit Points of FIP carriers.

 Supplements are payable by holders of FIP coupons and FIP discounted tickets for travel on IC services. The full supplement is payable by children between the ages of 4 and 12.

FIP facilities are not valid on the Pelion railway from Volos to Pelion

FIP facilities are accepted on bus services operated by Hellenic Train.

FIP free and discounted travel facilities are valid on Hellenic Train suburban services without restriction.

FIP discounted tickets can be purchased at Hellenic Train ticket offices, via the Hellenic Train official website and via the Hellenic Train mobile app.

FIP discounted tickets may only be purchased on-board trains if arriving into Greece and continuing a journey in the same train which crossed the frontier, or when starting a journey at a station where the ticket office is unstaffed.

Break of journey is not permitted.

Attica FIP facilities

Children under 4 years of age who do not occupy a bed, bunk or chair pay €5.50 per crossing.

On services to and from Ancona and Venice, children between 4 and 16 pay 50% of the adult fare. Persons aged 16 and older pay the adult fare.

On services to and from Bari, children between 4 and 12 pay 50% of the adult fare selected.  Persons aged 12 and older pay the adult fare.

The table supplied by Attica defines the boundaries of FIP availability across the Attica ferry routes.

FIP discounted travel only is available on Attica Ferries routes between Italy and Greece and on domestic ferry routes in the Aegean. The FIP discount cannot be combined with any other offer.

Aegean routes – No reductions are granted in July and August.

On international routes

• there is no distinction in the facilities available to holders of 1^st class and 2^nd class FIP travel facilities.
• cabins are available at 50% reduction (except LUX cabins). Book at the Purser’s office.

On internal (domestic) ferry journeys on Blue Star Ferries:

• holders of 1^st class tickets are eligible for reclining chairs
• holders of 2^nd class tickets are eligible for deck facilities.
• cabins are available at 25% reduction (except LUX cabins). Book at the Purser’s office.

Registration at the port office is mandatory, tickets may not be purchased on-board.

No reduction is granted for the conveyance of vehicles.

FIP facilities are not available on other Attica subsidiaries including Africa Morocco Link.
