The following carrier is relevant to Luxembourg:
For public fares, children up to 6 years old travel free. Children up to 12 years old are eligible for a 50% reduction on the adult fare. Persons aged 12 and older pay the adult fare (but see below for general public free travel).

Luxembourg offers free public transport for domestic journeys. This includes the Pfaffental-Kirchberg funicular.
On train, travel is free in 2nd class.
On train, travel in 1st class requires either a 1st class CFL FIP coupon or
if travelling with a FIP card the upgrade on the FIP fare. The upgrade must be paid in advance of boarding the train.
