For public fares, children up to 5 years old travel free. Children up to 16 years old are eligible for a 50% reduction on the adult fare. Persons aged 16 and older pay the adult fare.

If using FIP Coupons for free travel on the Enterprise service to the Republic of Ireland, then both CIE and NIR coupons must be held.

The FIP Card can be used to buy reduced rate tickets at station or on board trains.

Break of journey is not permitted, except to change trains.

First class is available on the Enterprise route from Belfast to Dublin. Payment for upgrades to first class travel must be made on the train.

Non-FIP benefits available to Staff Travel Card holders.

Safeguarded staff with a Staff Travel Card may buy reduced rate tickets. 

Non-safeguarded holders of Rail Staff Leisure Cards cannot use this to buy reduced rate tickets but can use an FIP card.
