Lausanne–Échallens–Bercher joins the SP group

Updated 23 October 2026

From 1 January 2027, the Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher (LEB) Railway will join the SP group within the FIP scheme.

This means:

  • SP FIP coupons can be used for free travel on LEB services.
  • The FIP International Reduced Rate Card gives 50% off fares on LEB services.

The LEB railway is a 23.6 km (14.7 mile) line in Switzerland that runs between Lausanne Flon and Bercher, via Echallens. Lausanne Flon station is about a 12-minute walk uphild from Lausanne main station. An alternative is to use the Lausanne metro to connect between the two stations, but the Lausanne Metro does not accept FIP facilities.

Please note that FIP facilities may not be valid on special steam-hauled services that operate occasionally.

Timetable information is available on the French language Leb website.
